Figurative interiors, nocturnes, and bodies dissolving into space.

Paintings built slowly from observation, memory, and accident: scraped surfaces, leaning bodies, rooms tilting toward shadow.

Commissions

For people who want a piece made with them in mind.

How it works

I take on a small number of commissions each year. The work stays close to my studio practice: gestural, slightly uneasy, somewhere between figure and space. Think of it as inviting a particular kind of painting into your life, rather than ordering a portrait or illustration.

We start with a short call or email exchange about scale, mood, and where the work will live. You’ll see a rough plan up front and a set of progress photos along the way.

Typical scales

Small From $1,500

~18 × 14 in. Intimate heads, fragments of a room, or a figure in a tight space. Good for apartments, hallways, or bedside walls.

Medium From $3,200

~30 × 24 in. A more developed situation: a body in space, a doorway, a table, or a night walk. We talk about palette, light, and what should feel present or absent.

Large From $5,500

40 in and up. For statement walls or semi-public spaces. These works are layered, architectural, and slower to build. Timeline, framing, and installation are discussed case by case.

I don’t take on photoreal copies of photos or “match the sofa” projects, but I’m happy to translate a story, a room, or a recurring dream into this language of paint.

About & Contact

A brief orientation and a direct way to reach me.

About the work

I’m a painter based in New York City. The work grows out of long sessions with the figure, drawings made in the street, and a lot of repainting. I’m drawn to awkward poses, half-lit corners, and images that feel like they’re arriving and erasing themselves at the same time.

Surfaces are built slowly: thin scrapes of color next to thick ridges of paint, muddy browns against sour greens, bruised pinks and asphalt blues. I’m interested in how much a scene can be reduced before it falls apart—and how far it can be pushed without losing the sense of a body or a place.

Works are held in private collections; studio visits in NYC are possible by appointment.
